Beginning in November we will host two new events. One is called genealogy basics and we are offering four dates with two half hour sessions per day where you will get to work one-on-one with a library staff member. If you are interested in learning how to start researching your family genealogy or just have a few questions about researching your family’s history this may be the event for you. Sign up now for one of these time slots by contacting Mary Ayers at (510) 795-2627 ext15 or e-mail: mcayers@aclibrary.org .
Dates and times:
Thursday November 13th: 2-2:30 and 2:30-3 pm
Friday November 14th: 1-1:30 and 1:30-2 pm
Friday November 21st: 10-10:30 and 10:30-11 am
Saturday November 22nd: 2-2:30 and 2:30-3 pm
Our other new event will be a scrapbooking class for kids and their parents or grandparents. We will show you how to put together a small scrapbook with your own pictures. Each person will need to bring a set of pictures with them to this class. We will provide all of the supplies. Even if you’ve never scrapbooked before, we encourage everyone to attend. If nothing else it will be a fun experience to share with your kids/grandkids.
