I just finished the newest book by Sarah Dessen, Along for the Ride, and it is definitely worth reading. It focuses on the life of  Auden, recently graduated from high school and a complete insomniac since the days of her parents’ divorce. Auden has never had much of a childhood;  instead she’s focused all of her attention on her studies and schoolwork. On a wild impulse she asks her father if she can stay with him, his new wife and baby for the summer at his beach-front house. While there she meets Eli, a fellow insomniac, who shows her that there is more to life than books and studies.  For grades 9-12.
