Just in the library today is a brand new series of books on How to Draw Your Own Graphic Novel. You can learn how to create your story and cover, and draw heroes, villains, and action with pencil, ink and color. Click on the links below to see the books in the library’s catalog.

After checking out these books, if you’re still looking to hone your drawing skills, come to our Manga Mania workshop. Professional illustrator and comic artist Karen Luk will reveal the secrets of Manga faces and expressions, basic character design and comics. This workshop is for tweens ages 10-12 and will take place on Saturday, April 7 at 11 a.m. Registration is required. Call the library at 510-795-2627 or stop by the Information Desk to sign up.
