Spring Break is coming up and the library has programs everyday–there’s something for everyone!

Saturday, April 7 @ 11:00 a.m. MANGA FOR TWEENS (ages 10-12)
In this workshop the secrets of Manga faces and expressions, basic character design and comics are revealed. Instructional materials are provided and yours to keep. Registration is required. To sign up, call the library at 510-795-2627, stop by the Information Desk, or e-mail tdodge@aclibrary.org.

Tuesday, April 10 @ 3:30 p.m. MOVIE: PUSS IN BOOTS (PG, 2011)
Way before he ever met Shrek, the legendary Puss in Boots goes on a heroic journey, teaming up with mastermind Humpty Dumpty and the street-savvy Kitty Softpaws to steal the famed Goose that lays the Golden Eggs. It’s the adventure of nine lifetimes! No registration is necessary. Refreshments will be provided courtesy of the Newark Library League.

Wednesday, April 11 @ 2:00 p.m. FAMILY GAME DAY
Enjoy your vacation by playing some familiar board games. Sorry, Monopoly, Guess Who, and Uno are just some of the games that will be available. Play with family, friends, or meet some new competitors.  No registration is necessary. This free program is sponsored by the Newark Library League. 

Thursday, April 12 @ 3:30 p.m. CRAFT: PAPER PLATE LADY BUGS
Join us as we craft lady bugs out of paper plates and construction paper. Younger children will need an adult to help. No registration is necessary. Free children’s crafts are sponsored by the Newark Library League.

Friday, April 13 @ 3:00 p.m. TWEEN DUCT TAPE (ages 10-12)
Christie Inocencio will be there to help you create something long-lasting and colorful out of duct tape. Registration is required. To sign up, call the library at 510-795-2627, stop by the Information Desk, or e-mail tdodge@aclibrary.org

Saturday, April 14 @ 3:00 p.m.  Sowing the Seed of Physics (ages 7-11)
