To celebrate Independence Day we will be making U. S. flags out of craft sticks at the Newark Library on Thursday, June 30th from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

This is a special day in the life of a knitter. Our group, Stitch an Inch will participate with Colette Pispisa as our teacher. We will meet extra long on this World Wide Knitting Dayand we invite crocheters and fiber artists as well. So bring your sunblock, snacks, fiber, hooks or needles & meet in the front of our library, should the weather be cooperative. We’ll be in the Conference Room otherwise. Children ages 9 to 13 can meet in the Meeting Room at Newark Library to enjoy snacks and talk about what they are reading with their peers. We meet on the last Friday of every month from 3:30-4:30. We are currently reading Witch and Wizard by James Patterson and Gabrielle Charbonnet. Contact Kat Blair to get a copy or check one out from your local library.
