If you are interested in learning how to scrapbook, please e-mail Mary Ayers at mcayers@aclibrary.org. We are trying to see if a class in January or February would be well attended. If you are interested in learning how to scrapbook or just curious for some new ideas, please let us know. We would like to know your name and e-mail address, and the best times for you to come to the library so we can accomodate as many people as possible.

Beginning this week, Mrs. Shamsa is kind enough to present a weekly storytime in Hindi/Urdo and English. These bilingual (or trilingual) storytimes are designed for children ages 2-5 years old and are free to everyone. Storytimes begin Wednesday November 12 and will run every Wednesday morning through May 2009. Storytimes run from 10:30-11 a.m. Please join us in the Meeting Room for these fun and educational storytimes.
Tuesday November 11th, all Alameda County Libraries will be closed in honor of Veteran’s Day.
Teens are invited to join us for a Twilight program at the Newark Library. We will have a trivia challenge based on the first three books, a scavenger hunt, a book discussion on Breaking Dawn (make sure you’ve read the book recently so the discussion will move smoothly). There will be a “blood-sucking” event among other activities and lots of food and prizes! Be sure to register for a spot at the program. This is an after-hours event so you must be registered to attend. Program will be on November 19th, 6:30-8:30 pm.
Twilight’s movie premiere will be November 21st at a theater near you!
